The Smile Project has been growing during 2010 and about 70 kids are now regularly attending our daily after-school activities (counseling, homework support, sports, art and English classes), now carried out at the local school premises. We are learning every day how to adjust the activities on offer to have the maximum impact on the kids.
The Smile Project is a great tool to help children who have troubles at school or at home and who don't receive the necessary support from families who are often suffering from very poor socio-economic conditions. Through regular home visits, we are also able to identify children who need special, extra support via our Individual Support or Coup de Pouce programs. The Smile Project exists thanks to the critical support of the HARVIP Foundation.
