| The Coup de Pouce Project (french expression for 'a little support') provides highly tailored support to approximately 50 kids. The Coup de Pouce starts with a careful assessment of the situation, needs and opportunities of a child referred to us by his school or neighbors as being in a particularly difficult situation. A support plan is set-up on short or long-term basis depending on the specific issues to be addressed. Kids Home Coup de Pouce support can cover the kid's basic needs (education, health, nutrition) and often includes support to help the family find a job and seek sustainable solutions.
During 2010, we extended our Coup de Pouce support to a community of people greatly affected by HIV-AIDS, which is located about an hour drive from Chiang Mai. Many of these kids have lost their parents and now live with relatives in very poor conditions. The Coupe de Pouce is possible thanks to the generous contribution of the Kids Home Club at the American School of Paris and the OECD War on Hunger Group.
