KIDS HOME

Efficient and transparent support to the children

The Flying Smile Project brings the benefits of the Smile Project to migrant kids who don't have access to education due to their poor and unstable living conditions in Thailand. Most of these kids belong to families of construction workers from Myanmar. They live in basic shelters and are often left by themselves while their parents work extremely long hours at the construction site.

To support these children we have designed the Flying Smile Project which applies the Smile Project's well established community approach to their specific situation and literally brings to them some of the basic services they need. Educational activities are held twice a week during half-day sessions at the community shelters. Around 30 kids (from toddlers to teenagers) participate into those activities. They are provided with a good meal with an hygiene pack. Our educational programme ranges from teaching the kids basic hygiene (such as cleaning the hands before eating or not drinking water from the tap) to medical support covering transportation to hospital, medication and hospital fees when needed. IN addition to basci services, these kids are offered some fun activities, including football which plays a key role as a catalyst of both parents and kids! The Flying Smile Project is implemented thanks to the precious support of the FIFA.
